Meditation is an important part of our program.

We offer a simple method of focusing and calming the mind, as taught by The Himalayan Yoga Tradition. This lineage teaches an effective method of quietening the mind by learning first to focus on the breath and relax the body in a seated position.

Everyone benefits from meditation – it brings a sense of balance to the busy-ness of our urban, modern lives. Twenty minute meditation sessions are held after the lunchtime classes on weekdays. This training may also be taken by individual arrangement, or in special courses and workshops. These lessons are lead by experienced practitioners only.

Instruction is given in plain English and led either inside the yoga studio, or under our beautiful old fig tree in the garden if the weather is good. No previous experience is necessary. Please enquire for more information or check the schedule for details.
