She was first introduced to Yoga in 1992 as a conditioning exercise during her years as a professional dancer. Later in life she returned to the Yoga practice as a management tool for depression, and a true life-practice began to bloom.
Allison is deeply interested in both the physical and mental applications of the Yoga system. Her classes are rooted in her sound anatomical knowledge and her sincere interest in facilitating a practice suitable to all levels and abilities.
In 2011 Allison completed a 200-hour teacher training with Jim Harrington and Tamsin Sheehy in Ashtanga-based Yoga, and went on to teach group classes at Yoga Spirit and Yo Yoga from 2012-2016. Between 2014 – 2016 she completed another 300-hours of study with Jim Harrington Yoga towards her Advanced Teacher Training 500-hour qualification.
